| The 1948
Chief Front Fender For 1946 Indian re-entered the
post war market with just one model; the Chief. It sported new
girder front end and a redesign on the front fender. This fender
was virtually the same through 1948. 1948 saw the addition of
front speedo drive. One additional hole was put in the fender
to hold a cable clip. |

The 1948
Chief Rear Fender Indian, in the last major production
year for the girder forked Chief moves the speedo drive to the
front wheel. This consequently eliminates the need for the special
access hole in the rear fender. All our fenders come with pre-installed
wire clips allowing secure wire location. |
